Ray Kroop gave his program on the Ring Master. It is
basically a motor and a cutter but it can make bowls, canister
sets, pictures frames, vases, and other
unique
shapes without the waste you would normally have with a lathe.
And it’s safe and easy to do. Ray showed pictures of the
creations from his 14 year old apprentice. Ray set up his
machine and proceeded to make a bowl. He brought with him
other creations. The cost for a machine is normally around
$600 but he was able to find one in the newspaper for about
$200, and now owns 3. The cutting mechanism can even
attach to your Shopsmith, mini or midi Lathe or Jet 12†lathe.
One blank can make multiple vases, etc. There are 8 models of
the Ringmaster you can choose from. Well, it was great to
see the machine in action, Ray. Thanks for showing it.
If interested, call Ray as he is now a marketer for the machine.
