BREWSTER BRAY was born in Detroit, Michigan and his family moved to Orlando shortly thereafter. His ancestors are from Sweden and his mother is a Hoequist, one of the early families to settle in Orlando.  He graduated from Orlando High School and entered the US Navy. When he came home he worked in his father (Milton Bray) and uncle’s (Leroy Hoequist) Fairchild Funeral Home on Lake Ivanhoe in Orlando.  He later went to Worsham Mortuary College and got his license. He opened and operated his own business, Bray Funeral, in 1956 in Apopka, Fl., later selling it and retiring in 1980. He met his wife, Sharon, after leaving the Navy and would have been married 50 years on May 8. They have 3 children (2 g-1b) and 4 grandchildren.  His other activities included flying a J3 Piper Cub, fishing in their own boat, and traveling across the USA in their travel trailer. He was also a member of the Brevard Woodworking Guild, a member of the Old Timer’s Club(have to had lived in Orlando 60 years), and was a member of the Shriners and Masons for 50 years.  Ray Kendrick visited him quite a bit over the years.  His wife said his only peculiarity was being a Collector of Exquisite Junk.  He was a dumpster diver and found collectors junk everywhere.  (Wait till my wife Bev sees this.  I’m not the only one around)
